The Sports Director covers many of the Northwestern College sporting events-both on and off campus. The Sports Director is responsible for coordinating the broadcast schedule for games and making sure these broadcasts are properly staffed. The Sports Director will also be responsible for all sold advertising for the broadcasts to include scheduling, airing and producing the spots.
The Sports Director works 10-15 hours per week and is responsible for any recorded sports updates, and packages for airing outside non-live sporting events. The Sports Director is the main coordinator of all non-live Sports programming of WVOE Radio. The Director’s primary responsibility is to plan, direct, and monitor all sports program scheduling.
More specifically, the Director is responsible for inserting all programs into the WVOE automation system. This includes all commercials, promos, liners, and recorded or live updates, printing sports logs for on-air use and coordinating volunteer board ops |
