Music Director:
The primary job of the music director is to locate the appropriate music for WVOE. Sorting through CD’s received in the mail, coordinating with record companies, or buying music is a regular task. This person is in charge of sorting and cataloguing this influx weekly and coordinating music meetings with staff every two weeks to determine the WVOE playlist. They are also in charge of maintaining the music library and establishing relationships with music labels.
The Music Director works five hours per week and reports to the Program Director and is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive relationships with music labels. They will also be in charge of sorting through any new music coming in weekly and putting it into the rotation. The Music Director for 2008-2009 was John Weirick; for 2009-2010 it is Nicole Koester. |
