Thousand Foot Krutch has been gracing the music world and our listening ears with their unique and irresistible sound since they “Set It Off” in 2001 with their first release. Since then, they have morphed into more of a pure rock sound.
Their newest release, “The Flame In All Of Us,” just adds to their repertoire of outstanding music. Trevor McNevan’s distinct voice and incredibly honest lyrics will draw you in. Of course, I can’t neglect to address the skillful drums and guitars that make you tap your toe, sway along, and mostly rock out to the strong and sometimes a bit more mellow melodic lines.

TFK’s album has a common theme that makes it very relevant and relatable to many. It basically deals with the fact that God is sovereign through all situations, and that He is what’s within us and can change us. It also talks about sin and how we can’t deal with it by ourselves, but we need God to break it down and take it away.
The song “Inhuman” has a catchy beat and is fun to rock to, but has a mellower chorus that makes it easy to sing along to as well. McNevan praises God for His goodness and love toward us even when He doesn’t approve of what we do. “What Do We Know?” slows it down a bit for a lovely dose of the frontman’s beautiful vocals to address being yourself and making a difference together. The title track, “The Flame In All Of Us,” does a great job of capturing the whole album’s theme (as expected).
TFK’s latest full-length project is fantastic and has something that everyone can enjoy. Pick up “The Flame In All Of Us” on your Target run or make it your next iTunes purchase. You’ll be happy you did!
